School Safety & Mental Health Essentials

Session Description
New to your role—or stepping into something new? This interactive session is designed for administrators, counselors, social workers, and other school-based mental health professionals looking to build confidence in school safety and mental health practices.

Explore key legal requirements, learn how to approach real-world situations in your role, and know when and how to connect with district and regional supports. Hear from regional experts—including Liberty House and Juliette’s House Child Advocacy Centers—and connect with peers across districts. Walk away with practical tools, take-home materials, clear next steps, and stronger networks to support you when it matters most.

Topics will include: Adi’s Act/Suicide Prevention, Intervention & Postvention, Erin’s Law/Child Abuse, Standard Response Protocol (SRP), Behavior Safety Assessment & Sexual Incident Response Assessment, Crisis Response
