Event Description

Workshop Description:
Discover how to make learning more relevant, engaging, and future-focused through Oregon's Career Connected Learning (CCL) modules. In this interactive webinar, educators will explore a collection of standards-aligned middle school instructional resources that connect core academic content to real-world careers across industries such as agriculture, biotechnology, health sciences, engineering, business, education, public safety, hospitality, manufacturing, and environmental stewardship. Participants will receive an overview of the module structure, examine sample lessons and driving questions, and learn how these resources integrate career awareness, workforce skills, and authentic problem-solving into everyday instruction. By the end of the session, educators will be prepared to identify modules that align with their content areas and implement meaningful career-connected learning experiences that help students see the relevance of their learning and envision future opportunities.

Participants Will:

  • Explore the Career Connected Learning resource collection and its career pathway themes.
  • Examine how modules connect academic standards to authentic workplace applications.
  • Learn strategies for integrating career exploration into core instruction.
  • Identify resources that support student engagement, career awareness, and future readiness.
  • Leave with ready-to-use materials and ideas for implementation in their classrooms.
