Event Description
Description: Save the Children’s Child Care Emergency Preparedness Training introduces providers to the foundational principles of preparing for, responding to, and recovering from emergencies in child care settings. Participants will learn to recognize potential hazards and identify the key components of a written emergency plan. The training also introduces family communication and reunification, emergency supplies, inclusive planning, drills, and records protection. Participants will leave with increased awareness of emergency preparedness and practical starting points for strengthening their program’s existing plans and procedures.

Prerequisites:
Terms: All participants must pay with a credit card or with a scholarship code issued by Clackamas CCR&R. For online classes, the link will be included in the class confirmation email. Participants must register in advance. Classes canceled less than 2 business days in advance of the training date are not eligible for a refund. Please call 503 675-4100 or email ccrr@clackesd.org to request a refund; refunds are not automatic. Hours will only be issued to participants who miss no more than 15 minutes of class. Participants can only take one live online class at a time. Hours will be automatically uploaded to ORO by Clackamas CCR&R. Classes will be closed within 5 business days of the class. Certificates will not be issued; they can be downloaded from ORO accounts after the class is closed.
