Event Description
MinecraftEdu is a version of Minecraft designed by teachers for classroom use. It contains many additions to the original game that make it more useful and appropriate in a school setting. Many lessons and activities are available for free, and there is a vibrant, active teacher community exploring uses of the game. We will spend time diving into the many resources at

. These minecraft lessons will connect with Science, Mathematics, engineering (STEM and STEAM) as well as just about any other curricular area. There is even a new minecraft world for the oregon trail! We will also spend time experiencing a lesson as a student would in your class. We will also have student experts available to teach us how one of the most popular games in the world actually works!
