Event Description
A workshop focusing on the evaluative process for autism spectrum disorder and other neurological disorders.
Target Audience: Medical and Educational Evaluators Identifying and/or Diagnosing Autism Spectrum Disorder in the Health Care and/or in the Educational Setting.
Presenters: Darryn M. Sikora, PhD - Pediatric Psychologist
Dr. Sikora is interested in improving the quality of life for both children and families through empirically-supported evaluations, consultation to pediatric subspecialists and therapists, and interventions that have been proven to address specific cognitive, behavioral, and emotional concerns. Her passion is working with children with autism spectrum disorders and their families. When not practicing psychology, Dr. Sikora enjoys outdoor activities, theater, and spending time with her family.
Debra L. Koutnik, MD - Specializing in Pediatrics
Debra Koutnik, MD, received her medical degree from the University of California at San Francisco School of Medicine. She completed her residency in pediatrics at the University of California at San Francisco Medical Center. Dr. Koutnik studied neurobiology and behavior at Cornell University in New York and holds a master’s degree in applied psychology and mental health counseling from Southern Oregon University in Ashland. She is board-certified in pediatrics.
