Positive Discipline in the Classroom for Beginning Educators in the Southern Oregon Mentor Consortiu

Event Details

Feeling challenged by unmotivated students, power struggles, recess problems being dragged into the classroom, no time to teach because you’re constantly dealing with behaviors?
Positive Discipline in the Classroom offers respectful solutions that work long term.
Create a classroom/school environment where students feel encouraged and engaged in learning, solve their own friendship issues, and feel a sense of connection, value and challenge. As an educator you will feel a sense of accomplishment and find your “calm” once more.
Participants will learn “the basics” of Positive Discipline and will acquire many tools with which to implement this approach. The course is taught experientially so that there is time to practice new tools.
FIRST PRIORITY will be given to Beginning Educators who participated in the SOMC Mentor Project between 2017-2019.  The mentor grant will pay the $298 registration fee for current members and alumni of the SOMC. Limit 50.
