Focus and Overview of the PLC Math Sessions
• Participants will engage virtually in 1-hour math content specific PLCs
• Leaders are TDG staff and teachers leaders from the Math in Real Life Project

In these virtual PLC meetings sessions, teachers will receive support to:
• use district curriculum materials to design and analyze student math tasks (especially modeling
tasks) for rigor and cognitive demand
• determine ways to discuss student math strategies and create equitable student engagement
during distance learning
• celebrate, troubleshoot and brainstorm with other educators also engaged in distance student
learning of mathematics
• identify equitable teaching and learning practices embedded, in both implicit and explicit ways,
within the Math Habits and Routines during distance learning
