The cornerstone of CPI since 1980, this program is considered the global standard for crisis prevention and intervention training. With a core philosophy of providing for the Care, Welfare, Safety, and SecuritySM of everyone involved in a crisis situation, the program's proven strategies give human service providers and educators the skills to safely respond to various levels of risk behavior while balancing the responsibilities of care.
Participants are required to wear closed toe shoes. Please bring a pen. All materials will be provided. Completion of the course includes successfully demonstrating physical skills and passing the written test at the end of the training.
Visitor parking is located in the lots adjacent to the building and on the street. An all-day visitor parking pass for the SOESD parking lots for the duration of the training will be distributed upon entering the building. A 30-minute lunch will be on your own.
