webPD Building Resiliency in Mental and Behavioral Health 101 - SMBH - Term V 2021/22

Event Details


In this five week, five module, asynchronous online course conducted through Canvas (not Zoom), participants will:
  • Understand definitions for mental and behavioral health
  • Learn about ways to build resiliency and protective factors when working with students
  • Identify strategies to help children and families strengthen their mental and behavioral health skills
  • Identify approaches to working with students with mental and behavioral health
  • Identify resources for children and families that need mental and behavioral health assistance
  • Understand the importance of educator self-care
The class is limited to 35 participants per cohort. Registration closes at 4 pm on Friday, June 10, 2022. A confirmation email will be sent from Canvas to the first 35 registrants. Additional opportunities to take this course will continue to be offered throughout the school year. Your district does not need to use Canvas for you to participate.

Note: This course qualifies for Southern Oregon University’s School Mental and Behavioral Health micro-credential. If you are interested in receiving SOU credit for participating in the SMBH micro-credential program, please click here for more information.

Free for employees of SOESD/SOESD's 13 component districts; $149 for agencies & community members of Jackson/Josephine/Klamath Counties; $79 for community members participating in SOU's SMBH Micro-Credential program; $199 for people outside Jackson/Josephine/Klamath Counties.
