During this session, we will provide the schedule of events for the 2022 – 2023 school year and how this work fits with what else is being developed around the state. Some examples of math applications for both algebra and geometry aligning to CTE along with local industry will be the focus of Southern Oregon’s work. We need teachers to link industry examples to the standards, develop lesson plans to pilot, and share. During this time we will align calendars for the academic year to schedule 8 one hour sessions where educators will present to other educators regarding the work at hand. You will work with an industry sector/partner for the purpose of gathering information regarding the math and problem solving used in their work place. Expect to spend approximately 40 hours beyond contract over the course of the school year.
This is an ongoing commitment for the 2022-2023 school year with a stipend of $2500 which half will be paid in the fall and the remainder to be paid in the spring.
