Section 504 Training with Marinda Peters of ODE in Grants Pass

Dr. Marinda Peters, Civil Rights Specialist from the Oregon Department of Education, welcomes all to partake in an in-person Section 504 training on Friday, September 29, from 12 pm to 4 pm, which will cover the following topics:
  • Disability Civil Rights
  • Section 504 101
  • Section 504 Deep Dive
  • 504 & Abbreviated School Days
  • Q & A and Goal Setting

About the facilitator:
Dr. Marinda Peters (she/ella) is a Civil Rights Specialist at the Oregon Department of Education (ODE). In her role, Marinda specializes in rights and obligations under Title VI, Section 504, and Title II of the ADA.

She comes from 17 years of working in public education as a Professional School Counselor, Behavior Coach and 504 Coordinator. Marinda has an MA in Counseling Psychology from Pacific University and earned her PhD in Counseling in 2017 from Oregon State University.
