Youth Mental Health First Aid

Instructors: Nathan Shay, Mary Michael

Youth Mental Health First Aid is an early intervention public education program.

Objectives: 
Participants learn: 

  • how to recognize the signs and symptoms that suggest a potential mental health or substance use problem
  • how to listen nonjudgmentally and give reassurance to a person who may be experiencing a mental health or substance use problem
  • how to refer a person to the appropriate professional support services

This Event is geared for

  • Adults who work with youth

Prior to session start date participants will be required to complete 2 hours of virtual, asynchronous pre-work before the May 21 session.

Registration limited to 30 participants:
If we are over the limit, you will be added to a waiting list for upcoming trainings.
