Tisha Richmond

Tisha is a Canva Learning Consultant, Global Community Manager for Canva, innovative educational consultant, international speaker, podcast host, and author from Southern Oregon. She has served 25 years in public education as a Career & Technical Education teacher, district Tech Integration Specialist and Student Engagement & PD Specialist. Additionally, she is the co-founder and president of Southern Oregon CUE affiliate and serves on the Executive Board for CUE.

Tisha is the author of the book, Make Learning MAGICAL, which unlocks seven keys to transform teaching and create unforgettable experiences in the classroom.  She has a children’s book that she co-authored with her son coming out this Fall with Dave Burgess Consulting, Inc.

In 2018, she was a recipient of Medford School District’s Golden Pear Educator Secondary Teacher Award and a first place winner of the Henry Ford Innovation Nation Educator Award. Tisha is passionate about infusing joy, passion, play, and gamified strategies to immerse and empower our 21st century learners and make learning a MAGICAL experience for all! She connects globally with educators around the world continuously reaching beyond her comfort zone to grow and help transform the educational landscape so all learners can thrive.

Heidi Lee Harless

Heidi Lee Harless
Heidi Lee Harless is a Fulbright award-winning educator and designer working to improve the lives of all Oregon students, their families and their communities. Currently, as Project Manager for Oregon Career Connected Learning, she leads teams to build a state-wide Resource Hub for the Oregon Department of Education. This web-based platform is supported by a framework of equitable access that empowers all Oregon students to create a vision for their future.

With a professional background in technology and design, she has served as an Arts, Information and Communication Advisory Chair, School Board Member and led design efforts for Apple, Microsoft and Adobe.

As Chair of the Visual Arts & Design Department at Rogue Community College, she managed Art & Digital Media education as well as related training programs in CTE, Work-based Learning, Community Education, STEAM and Teacher Development. She has also taught for Renaissance Academy, K12 International and Southern Oregon University.

Erica Carmona

Erica Carmona
Erica is a lifelong learner that strives to make education accessible, engaging and individualized. Her passion is helping students discover what they love about learning as well as making coding and math approachable. She wants all of her students to believe they are capable, creative, confident, brilliant and unique. She joined the TMC crew right after graduating from SOU with a degree in Education and Spanish. She is a first generation high school and college graduate. Her extracurricular activities include, but are not limited to, learning new languages, hiking, playing lacrosse, creating art, coding and traveling.

Amy Lukens works with both STEAM and CTE at SOESD. She is part of a statewide team that schedules quarterly Oregon Connections events, and assists individual southern Oregon educators to implement this super convenient method for strengthening classroom ties to industry.

My name is Patrick Irvin. I currently teach at Grants Pass High School. I have also taught in Montana, Lake Tahoe, Canby, Hidden Valley, and Eagle Point.
My background includes curriculum design, sales, marketing, video production, and project management. Leadership involvement in district collaboratives on project-based learning, coaching, directing athletics, and instructing professional development courses. Highly Qualified in Health, Social Studies, and Career Technical Educator (CTE) in Business & Marketing.
I currently teach Career Academy and feel extremely fortunate for the opportunity to connect with young people on potential career possibilities.

Jenni Jones

Jenni Jones

Jenni Jones is an innovative educator with a passion for shaking up the traditional classroom. She is all about making school a place students and teachers run to! She loves to play with tech tools to see how they can both simplify and improve upon the task at hand. But it's not just gadgets and gizmos for Jenni – she's a champion of belonging and inclusion, making sure every student feels safe, connected, and empowered. Her work as a teacher, coach, mentor, and administrator continues to bring her joy 37 years into her career. If you like to play with big and small ideas, and you don’t take yourself too seriously, you have found the right partner in learning.

I have taught middle school and/or high science for the last eight years. In that time, I have worked to create and refine assignments and assessments that can be used for NGSS that mirror the OSAS test. I also have overseen science instruction at Butte Falls’ Natural Resource Center, an outdoor hub of science learning for all ages.

Berkeley Skuratowicz

Berkeley Skuratowicz
Berkeley was raised in the Rogue Valley and is a recent graduate of Oregon State University, earning a degree in engineering. She is interested in the intersection of design and technology, and will soon be studying design at San Francisco State University. One of her main passions is 3D printing; she has spent over 5 years using and maintaining 3D printers. She also loves creating things using CNC machines, woodworking, and metalworking. Some of her other hobbies include reading, mountain biking, rock climbing, and exploring the trails around the Rogue Valley.

Heather Armstrong

Heather Armstrong
Heather Armstrong is a STEAM Integration Specialist for the Southern Oregon STEAM Hub. She is currently working with ODE to lead the STEAM Hub's initiative to integrate career applications into algebra and geometry. She also works with classroom teachers to integrate high tech lending library materials into core subject areas. Heather was a classroom teacher for 10 years who focused on project-based learning in math and science and was a practicing landscape architect for 12 years. Please join her to explore how Ozobots can be integrated into any subject area to create a hands-on learning experience for your students.

Ash Friend
Ash has worked in the Education Department at ScienceWorks Hands-On Museum since 2016, leading camps, after school programs, field trips and outreach, and designing STEAM curriculum. Ash's background in lab science combined with a passion for literature and the arts, plus a passion for informal, inquiry-led education makes work as the Education Director at ScienceWorks a dream job.

LeVonda Vickery

LeVonda Vickery
LeVonda teaches 7th and 8th grade students digital fabrication, robotics, and computer skills at McLoughlin Middle School in Medford, Oregon. She has been a classroom teacher for 9 years and brings over 20 years of real-world experience to the classroom. She’s a lifelong learner and passionate about graphic design, digital fabrication, technology and loves playing video games. She takes on her Geek Girl attitude with pride and hopes to get other girls passionate about computer science and other roles in the CTE industry.

Lisa Udall

Lisa	Udall

Lisa has been the STEAM Hub, and CCL Administrative Assistant at the Southern Oregon ESD for the past 6 years.  She helps with many of the “extras” required for professional development, events, and as a support for teachers, as well as students.  She has a Masters in Social Science with Education Concentration, and helps with various SOESD events held throughout each year.  She is hoping to venture in future promotion of the “A”/Arts in STEAM education.

She has lived in the Rogue Valley most of her life, and enjoys camping, singing in her band, gardening, walking, and decorating for as many holidays as possible. She’s looking forward to introducing Bee-bots at this year’s EdTech Summit, and hopes that participants will have a lot of fun using this educational source of coding for their elementary classrooms.

Erin Beard

Erin Beard
Erin has more than 20 years of practice as a secondary teacher-leader in southern Oregon where she lives with her husband, three children, and assorted pets. Erin received a D.Ed. in Educational Methods, Policy, and Leadership from the University of Oregon in 2020. Her dissertation explored the intersection of student-involved assessment for learning, equity, and trauma-informed practices. She is the Programs Director at TMC working to support professional development adventures.
