In-person Event at Multnomah ESD:
Effective Small Group Literacy Instruction (ORTIi, NWRESD, and MESD)

When:
May 16th, from 8:30 AM-3:30 PM, lunch included

Description:
MESD is partnering with ORTIi and NWRESD to host a training focused on using early literacy screening data to drive instructional decisions and inform Tier 1 & 2  small group instruction.

The morning will focus on developing educators' data literacy skills and the afternoon will offer educators a chance to observe multiple small group lessons focused on word recognition and language comprehension.

MESD will be able to cover a limited number of certified substitute teachers for the event. We are requesting attendees come with at least one colleague to collaborate with. This event is ideal for a coach and a teacher they are working with, a coach and a building administrator, or a team of folks who plan to teach in your district's summer learning programs. All registrants must complete this Google Form to identify who they will be attending with. Registration is limited to 50 for this event.

Substitutes:
A limited amount of funding is available for MESD to cover substitute teachers. Funds will be allocated based on date of registration and fair distribution across districts. If you would like to be considered for sub coverage, please let me know through this Google Form. You will be notified on Wednesday, May 7th if substitute coverage is available for you. If you need a sub and don't get selected, consider looking into if you have a professional learning day available to you within your contract that you can use.
