Culture Café Book Club
Instructor(s)/Facilitator(s)
Maria Lenzi Miori (Education Inclusivity and Innovation Specialist) / Maria Chavez-Haroldson (Organizational Culture and Development Director)
The Culture Café Book Club is a welcoming space to connect with colleagues and explore themes that matter through storytelling, reading, and reflection.
In the 2026–27 school year, we’ll engage with three inspiring books: Pedagogies of Voice, Braiding Sweetgrass, and Lightmaker’s Manifesto. Participants are invited to read whichever book resonates most with them, or explore more than one.
This year, rather than organizing our discussions around specific chapters, we’ll gather around shared themes each month. Conversations will be co-facilitated with participants, creating opportunities for collective learning, reflection, and connection. We welcome colleagues to join any or all meetings, whether they are actively reading one of the books, exploring related ideas, or simply curious to engage in the conversation.
You’re welcome to join in person or virtually, and participate in the ways that work best for you. There’s no pressure to keep up with the reading -you’re invited to join the conversation whether you’re reading one of the books, exploring the themes, or simply interested in learning alongside colleagues.
