Southern Oregon Education School District is partnering with Future Work Design to lead a collaborative design process to identify meaningful interventions and strategies for HR to create the conditions and systems for successfully meeting the legislative and consortium districts’ goals to recruit, retain, and sustain the number of racially, ethnically, and/or linguistically diverse teachers and administrators for Oregon’s public schools. Participants will be required to attend a minimum of five hours of collaborative design sessions, with the option to participate in all design sessions (for a total of 16.5 hours). The project is scheduled to begin in mid-January and conclude in late March. At the conclusion of the project we will have a clear work plan with actionable next steps.

Project Goals

Align on why this is mission critical work for HR teams
Create a shared understanding of the barriers that exist to recruiting staff of color to the school districts
Develop strategies to ensure recruitment and retention of diverse staff to better reflect our student body and student experience in our schools
Identify clear and actionable next steps and accountabilities

This is for registration for the whole group sessions only. The small group sessions that will occur in February and March will have separate registration processes. The Zoom links will be sent out to registered participants.
